Spoken language tends to be redundant, because the speaker wants to make sure we understand what they are saying. This means that as a listener, you often have more than one opportunity to “catch” what the speaker is saying. 

 

In this exercise, we analyse the transcript of an excerpt from a real-life interview for the number of times each key point is expressed.
