How can we edit the answer when the writer made it mistake?

Hola, dupliqué un cuaderno y por cansancio modifiqué el original en vez de la copia. Tuve que reasignarle a mis alumnos su cuadernillo, pero por eso perdieron todo lo que ya habían trabajado. ¿Hay alguna forma de recuperar sus cuadernillos originales, o sus trabajos? Muchas gracias
