You are going to create an original short story in English using the basic elements of storytelling. This activity will help you practice creative writing, the use of the simple past tense, and organizing your ideas into paragraphs.
πΉ Part One β Planning: Complete the organizer with your ideas:
- SETTING: When and where does the story take place?
- CHARACTERS: Who are the main characters?
- PROBLEM: What problem happens in the story?
- STEPS TO SOLVE PROBLEM: What do the characters try to do to fix the problem?
- SOLUTION: How is the problem finally solved?
πΉ Part Two β Writing: Based on the chart, write a three-paragraph story using past simple verbs:
- Paragraph 1: Introduce the characters and describe the setting (place and time).
- Paragraph 2: Explain the problem the characters face.
- Paragraph 3: Describe how the problem was solved and how the story ends.
β Important Tips:
- Use connectors like: First, Then, Suddenly, Finally.
- Donβt forget punctuation.
- Be creative β your story can be realistic or fictional.
