Instructions: The issue of water pollution in our rivers especially the Rio Cobre with numerous unwanted releases of poisonous chemicals over the years has become a major crisis. 

Write an essay that describes the impact of these unfortunate circumstances that are repeated so often. 

1. Show how these chemicals/ pollutants enter the rivers/ underground freshwater sources.
2. Explain how the pollution affects the environment and the communities that rely on the rivers/ water sources within these areas. 
3. Suggest ways the environmental impacts from these chemicals could be reduced or eliminated.
