Listening Activity : Instructions for Students:
Preparation: Take time to locate a quiet space within your home or place of study. Make sure you have prepared your notebook and pen for notes, and will be free of distractions - that should be your main goal during this activity.
Listen Carefully: You will listen to an audio recording about the topic of deforestation in Ecuador. It is your job to listen and take in all the information present. You will want to recall many specifics from the recording.
Taking Notes: Note down as much of the information shared in the recording as possible - recording all key points, important facts, and any statistical information included in the recording. Part of this activity is about your ability to recall infromation after listening, so these notes will help you with that process.
Questions: After listening to the complete recording, you will then be assigned a number of questions related to the audio. You will need your notes to help you recall from the recording.
Review Your Answers: After you have completed the questions; take a moment to review your answers. Are they complete? Are they accurate?
Turn in your answers as your teacher instructs.
Good luck, and remember to be active listeners!
