The Verb "To be" - Present Tense

Good morning/afternoon, everyone. Today we are going to practice the verb "to be" in the present tense. Please follow these steps before you begin writing: 

 

First, write your name and today's date at the top of the worksheet. 

 

Second, look at the green examples. Remember: 

 

  • Use "am" for I. 

  • Use "is" for singular pronouns and nouns like He, She, It, Hadil, or Alisa. 

  • Use "are" for plural pronouns and nouns like You, We, They, Tiffany and Uma, or the students. 

Finally, read each sentence completely and fill in the blanks with am, is, or are.
