There are various reasons why Sts may confuse different
pairs of verbs, e.g. L1 interference, different verbs existing in English where Sts’ L1 just uses one, or the fact that the form of two different verbs is very similar. Make sure Sts get as much practice as possible with the verbs which are confusing for them.
