drag & drop - how to set up extra/unused drag choices?
Hi,
I'd like to create a drag & drop activity like this: 1 correct answer (drag ID:1) and 1 incorrect answer (drag ID:2), with only 1 drop area (drop ID:1)... How can I set this up so that if drag ID:1 is dropped into drop ID:1, and drag ID:2 is untouched, then the activity is scored as 100% correct?
The current setup described above will score drag ID:2 as incorrect because it was not dragged into a corresponding drop area (there is no drop ID:2). Additionally, if drag ID:2 is set up as drag ID blank, it will also score as an incorrect answer.
Please advise. Thanks!

Just don't put any id ith the drag field that shouldn't be dropped. Leave it without ID. It shows like incorrect but it doesn't count.

So there is no way to show it as correct if it shouldn't be dropped? (I remember in the old version it was possible to show a drag choice as correct if it wasn't dragged when it wasn't supposed to be dragged.) Thanks!

It still marks it as incorrect.
On your worksheet, create a "Not being used" area - call it what you want! For example, imbed an image of a waste basket, and create SEPARATE drop boxes over it - and make a separate drop box for as many as you need (I also add at least one extra to be a bit tricky! :-)) ... to keep this from registering false negatives, EACH of the DRAG and DROP bits that are going to the "not being used" area need to have the same number so that they don't have to put them in specific boxes. Works just fine (at least with the old platform -- now I can't get the new platform even to save the task I'm creating!)

Yes, does not work with the new platform. I worked for a while creating a worksheet and it would not save either! Then I had to repeat all the work only to find it marks students incorrect of any options are not moved. But, there is only one correct answer, so only one item should be moved.
The new system does not allow teachers to have multiple "drag" options with only one being correct. I find this very frustrating and limiting. I want students to be able to drag the correct answer into the box, but it will always score it low because the other options are not dragged.
