Once a worksheet is added into a workbook, you can assign the workbook as homework for your registered students, more info is below:

Once the worksheet is added into a workbook the link is not visible. This method has an advantage, your students will focus only on the activities assigned with no worksheet links.
Other way to share the only worksheet is giving the worksheet URL directly to your students, so that they can add that URL and start filling in the worksheet.}, this method is used when the students are not registered on Liveworksheets.
