Hi, Out of curiosity I wanted to ask if you know whether liveworksheet.com and topworksheets.com have the same owner. They are so alike that it makes me think they share the same parents. ;)

PaoMG is partially right: liveworksheets used to be managed by Víctor, the same person who created eslprintables. Sadly, he could not find the time, energy and technical know-how to make it sustainable, and decided to sell it to an American investment group who are trying to learn how to make it profitable but are not familiar with either the technical or pedagogical side of it, and lack a skilled programmer who can fix technical problems efficiently. Topworksheets is another Spanish company altogether. Inspired by liveworksheets (you can even export your worksheets from this site to theirs), their philosophy is different: the free options are more limited, but the paid subscription and the site itself not only work smoothly, they have a great support team who are every bit as caring as Víctor was, but have the resources he lacked. The down side is there are far fewer worksheets to choose from. The silver lining: if you have a paid subscription you can appropriate others' worksheets and modify them at will, they will be private ones, but they will be all yours. Plus, the notification system is much better: you can always know which worksheets you have revised and which are still waiting, even if you skip some. There are many other differences, but on the whole the advantages and disadvantages of each system are balanced, as long as you can manage with a free subscription in liveworksheets, which I can't because I have more than 100 students, that's why I'm using both for the time being. If things do not improve by the end of the school year, though, I will probably abandon liveworksheets for good. It is just too frustrating to see how messages about technical errors are politely acknowledged and subsequently ignored.

I didn't know Victor was no longer involved. Now I think of it, it makes sense. All those changes weren't like him. Well, I hope he got loads of money for selling liveworksheets. After helping the teacher community for such a long time, he deserved it. I'm still learning how topworksheets work but the first advantage I noticed is that it seems that the resolution of worksheets is better. And the resolution thing has always bothered me on liveworksheets. I probably won't pay for a premium account, not because I don't want to, but because I'm already paying for a bunch of subscriptions I need for work and I simply cannot afford another one. Sites like liveworksheets are a potential goldmine, but their owners need to resist mining too hard - in other words, subscription prices need to be low and stay low. Teachers don't make much and liveworksheet.com is for sure not the only subscription they have to pay for. What's more, in most countries teachers are not supported in any way and they have to pay for everything they need for work by themselves. So no wonder they're always on a lookout for a cheaper option and they'll resign from subscriptions which are simply too high to add to their "subscription bundle". But it seems people who target teachers don't know about it or simply don't care.
