Are you using Chrome on a PC? That's where "listen:" works best. If you upload a recording you probably won't have that problem.

Use Chrome browser. Downloads page like a pdf file. No sound too.

The windows 7 with Chrome play more sheets with the sounds.

I can't hear it either, but I use Firefox, and there is a notice in the editor: the speech synthesizer only works with Chrome and Safari. Maybe a virtual machine is just not appropriate I think it's just easier to just choose another worksheet.
