Time intervals can be written in two different ways: as a decimal fraction (e.g., 1.5 hours or in mixed units (e.g., 1 hour 30 minutes.

Because time is built on base-60 (60 seconds = 1 minute and 60  minutes = 1 hour, decimal fractions refer to a fraction of 60, not 100!
