Students learn and practise the Magic E pronunciation rule and how a silent e at the end of a word changes a short vowel sound into a long vowel sound. Activities include identifying short and long vowel sounds, adding and removing Magic E, completing word pairs, choosing the correct word in context, completing sentences, and reading Magic E pairs aloud. A short pronunciation challenge is included for extra practice. A related video lesson is available via a QR code and clickable link so students can listen to the pronunciation and hear the difference between the short and long vowel sounds.
