Students learn and practise the Magic E pronunciation rule and how a silent e at the end of a word changes a short vowel sound into a long vowel sound. Activities include identifying short and long vowel sounds, adding and removing Magic E, completing word pairs, choosing the correct word in context, completing sentences, and reading Magic E pairs aloud. A short pronunciation challenge is included for extra practice.
