Instructions: Read a manual on using SolidWorks by applying the reading strategy of scanning for specific information, then match the technical vocabulary from the text to its definitions and pictures.

Instructions: Students work in groups of 3–4 as a factory safety team. Read the passage and imagine an earthquake occurring during production time then discuss and decide:

• What workers should do before the earthquake
• What workers should do during the earthquake
• What workers should do after the shaking stops
