About me
Petros holds a PhD from the Department of Digital Systems, University of Piraeus.
His research interests include Usability Evaluation of Network Supported Collaborative Learning systems based on advanced educational technologies with the use of design patterns.
Right now, he is running STEM, STE[A]M & ST[R]EAM teacher training courses under the KA1 Erasmus+ initiative.
Additionally he is External distance Lecturer at University of Nicosia, Master in Education Sciences - Educational Technology.
Petros collaborates with Omiros Glyfada Language School and Mia Fora Ki Enan Kairo nursery and kindergarten presenting unplugged STEM based in Engineering Pedagogy.
From 2015-2018, has been a STEM Mentor and R&D Director in DES private Elementary school in Athens, achieving participating in thirteen (13) Erasmus+ KA229 - School Exchange Partnerships projects in just three years. From 2018 he is the STEM Mentor and R&D Director in Mia Fora Ki Enan Kairo nursery and kindergarten achieving participation in one Erasmus+ KA229 - School Exchange Partnerships.
As a part time enrolment he is a Lab Trainer at the University of Thessaly "STEM Teacher Training"
His work and interests mainly combine aspects from the fields of instructional design, human computer interaction and web engineering with the intention to find effective and efficient methods for the development of interactive multimedia that meet user needs and promote creativity and innovation.
He has participated in several European R&D projects such as TELL, Grid4All, idSPACE, Educomics, eLMSAnanlytics, SAILS, DIGISKILLS, and others.
He has written more than 20 papers published in international peer-reviewed journals and as proceedings of international and national conferences.
Petros has been one of the founders of the CoSyLlab group (research laboratory from the Department of Digital Systems, University of Piraeus) and the founder and CEO of ITisART (e-Learning company). Before that he run a private secondary after school tutoring company
