Una mañana de invierno, a las 2:30 del mediodía llegaba Mario a su casa cansado de ver tantos dientes… ¿Cuál será el trabajo de Mario?

Mario se quitó los zapatos, se puso las zapatillas de casa, se preparó la comida y mientras comía encendió la televisión.

Justo iba a empezar el telediario y de repente, salió de la televisión la reportera. Mario se quedó con la boca abierta y le preguntó:

  • ¿Quién eres? ¿Cómo has hecho eso?-.
  • Soy Emma, reportera encargada de dar las noticias de mediodía- dijo.
  • ¿Qué haces en mi casa si siempre te veo por la televisión?- preguntó Mario.
  • Siempre que me ves es porque yo llego a las casas de todo el mundo que enciende la televisión, pero esta vez estoy aquí de carne y hueso. ¿Quieres que te cuente las noticias de hoy?- respondió Emma.

Mario muy sorprendido asintió sin decir palabra mientras Emma empezó a contar la primera noticia: “Un joven lector ha batido el récord de mayor número de libros leídos en 24 horas”.

  • Ese soy yo- dijo de repente una voz nueva.

Mario y Emma, asustados, se asomaron por la puerta y vieron en el pasillo al joven lector. Mario le preguntó como había entrado a su casa si estaba todo cerrado y le dijo que venía a contarle en persona que en 24 horas había leído 20 libros de 300 páginas cada uno.

Cuando el joven lector terminó de contar su noticia, Emma siguió contando las siguientes y cada vez que contaba una noticia aparecía en la casa de Mario el protagonista de la noticia contando sus historias.

De repente la casa de Mario estaba llena de todos los personajes de las noticias de ese día: la reportera Emma, el joven lector, el rey de España, el cuidador de un zoológico, un anciano, una atleta con medalla de oro, el dueño de la casa más cara del mundo, aviones volando, trabajadores en huelga, etcétera.

Pero llegó el momento de terminar el telediario contando el tiempo y cada vez que Emma anunciaba el tiempo que iba a hacer durante esa semana en cada ciudad, los personajes iban desapareciendo, volviendo a su ciudad de origen. Todos menos Emma.

  • Emma, ya se ha acabo el telediario, ¿no deberías haber desaparecido tú también?- le preguntó Mario.
  • A mi solo me puedes devolver al televisor si apagas la televisión- le respondió la reportera.

Entonces Mario, con mucha pena porque había contado muy bien las noticias, apagó el televisor sin creerse aún todo lo que había pasado mientras comía en su comedor. Pero lo que Mario no sabía es que todo había sido un sueño. Estaba tan cansado que cuando llegó de trabajar se quedó dormido en el sofá y se despertó con el sonido de unos tambores en la calle preguntándose:

  • No sé si ha sido un sueño o han estado aquí todos de verdad, pero ha sido ¡ALUCINANTE!
