Remember:

The present simple is used to:

• Referirse a horarios o eventos programados.
• Dar instrucciones o indicaciones.

The present continuous is used to:

• Hablar sobre algo que está ocurriendo en este momento.
• Hablar sobre algo que está ocurriendo en este período (pero no necesariamente en este preciso instante), por ejemplo: esta semana, estos días.
• Expresar planes futuros cuando algo ya está organizado.
• Quejarse de algo que ocurre con demasiada frecuencia, generalmente para expresar molestia, irritación o enojo.
• Describir situaciones que están cambiando o desarrollándose.
