I can't get the tick boxes to work. If I insert tick:yes, a tick appears. But when I insert tick:no, a tick also appears. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Thanks!

It is not a problem: the student can choose and tick all the options; some will be correct, and some not. The idea is that they tick only the correct options.

Thank you for explaining that. Do students find it confusing? I do. I was wanting to program immediate feedback with a tick for correct responses and a cross for incorrect ones. So with this system, I insert tick:yes or tick:no and ticks are applied to all responses. But when the student is finished and click on feedback, they will learn whether their answer was correct or not? That seems confusing to me. A tick indicates correct. Wouldn't it be better to have check boxes marked with an x for the student's selection; which is later corrected with a tick or a cross when they click on feedback?

It is easier this way: the student ticks only one answer (the correct one) and does not need to cross the rest of the options. There can also be two or more correct answers. You can also use "select:", here's an example: https://www.liveworksheets.com/sp977731sm
