Exercise: Will and Going to

English as a Foreign Language

In this exercise, you will practice using "will" and "be going to" to talk about future actions and events. Both "will" and "be going to" are used to discuss the future, but they are used in different situations:

 

  • "Will" is often used for decisions made at the moment of speaking, promises, offers, or predictions based on personal beliefs.

    • Example: I will help you with your homework.
  • "Be going to" is used for plans and intentions, or when there is evidence that something will happen.

    • Example: Look at those dark clouds! It is going to rain soon.

Complete each sentence by choosing either "will" or "be going to" based on the context. This will help you understand how to use these forms correctly when talking about the future.
