Prefixes (re- and un-)

A prefix is a word part added to the beginning of a word. Prefixes change the meaning of the base word.

The prefix re- means again. For example: retie = to tie again

The prefix un- makes the word mean the opposite of the base word.
Example: untie = the opposite of tie
